For now, I'll just remind you all that today is my rebirth day (aka the anniversary of the day I was struck by a car while riding my bicycle in downtown Orlando, giving birth to my music-artist persona GioSafari).
In 2009, a year after the bike wrecks, I produced my debut EP - Life Is A Bike Wreck (Better Wear Your Helmet) - an album about those very incidents which changed my life trajectory so drastically. I hope you'll consider getting the album today from my bandcamp page, if you don't already have it. The album was recorded somewhat crudely and hastily, due to a last-minute computer crash (among a hundred other snafus), but I still celebrate the album's final product as a triumph and I do hope that you will too, keeping in mind these words of Viktor Frankl, which largely inspired the work:
Caught in a hopeless situation as its helpless victim, facing a fate that cannot be changed, man still may turn his predicament into an achievement and accomplishment at the human level. He thus may bear witness to the human potential at its best, which is to turn tragedy into triumph.
