How did I end up in Harlem? NYC?
Well much has happened since 2007 and I'm about due for another installment!
I can't believe it's actually been 4 years since that letter... so much has happened: moving to Orlando, studying at UCF, joining Status, meeting Emily, discipleship, being homeless... and on the fast track to a career in music. These past 4 years have been crazy. And those to come are going to be just as crazy, if not more so. You better go see the world! That's what I want to read next time you write!
Thailand, Paris, New York, Chicago, Africa (?). Dude, it's all yours to explore. Be free. Never be a fuckin douchebag. If you do become one, I will come back from the past and kick you in the balls. Soon as you're done reading this, drop it, go out and love some people, and bring the revolution! The Kingdom of God!
Don't forget who you are: a child of God, a Cuban, a lover not a fighter, an artist, a pastor, a free man, a musician, a son and brother. Don't forget your past - learn from it. And stop making out with Emily - unless you've already married her, you sly dog, you! Keep listening to badass music and rocking yours and God's faces off. And bollocks to the rest.
Love what you do. Always. And love everyone around you. Always pray and read scripture, stop being a stubborn dillhole. Disciple people too. The world needs more guys like you. Don't change unless it's for the better. Stand up for what you believe in and speak your mind.
Wishing you the best. Your friend,
