I'm done with the traditional venue hunt for my spring On The Road excursion (I've been discouraged from using the word "tour", haha. I'll definitely still use it, but it's that same admonition that inspired the name of the tour "you're not going on tour. You're just going... on the road.") I've loosely secured seventeen shows in fifteen different cities! I'll keep my hand to the plough, so to speak, as I'd still like to get shows going at non-traditional venues in St Louis, Columbia, Normal/Bloomington, Toledo, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati. If anyone can help out with any of these cities, please let me know! In addition I hope to play for the Occupiers of any and all of the cities I will visit.
I'm also working on a ton of new material for my first full length album, which I plan to record in the summer. Though I prefer to keep that progress on the down-low, there will surely be sneak peeks in the coming months. In the mean time, you can check out the Clown Of God sountrack, which you can now download for FREE on Noisetrade, or watch the actual show on YouTube as I post it up over the next few weeks.
I've started teaching the Uptown Rock workshop, which I will write about more on the Matt 6:24 blog. I have a ton of other writing I have to do, to get all my blog sites up to speed.
And I hope to kickoff a DIY directory site for NYC in the near future. Something else in the radar.
Finally, I found this video last night - I went out with a small crew from RT in January to talk about food waste in the city. Enjoy!
